An ode to chocolate.

Dear chocolate

Hi chocolate! Do you know me? My name is Monica Hwang. I live in Korea and I love you and all of your friends. I want to say thank you for your sweetness. I really like eating you but now my mum says to stop eating chocolate. So I suppose I have to apolozize to you. Anyway, I owe you so--- much for keeping me awake when I am sleepy.

At here, GLPS, I get tired and sleepy easily for all those walking, talking, reading, and studying. But when I eat your friend Twix or Sneakers, I feel so happy and warm inside. If it wasn't for you, I would be still so tired all day long.

Also, in Valentine day, I can give my friend one of your friend, Gana chocolate, and she gets every so happy. It helps keeping our friendship all safe. It works well for my parents too. You know your famous friend Feferro Rocher? Well, my parents love it, and one day I gave my dad a big box of Feferro Rocher to him for his birthday, and you know what he was like? Well, he ate it in two weeks! I really like you, and all of my friends like you too!

I owe you chocolate, for keeping me awake. I owe you chocolate, for keeping my parents and friend happy. Bye!

From. The friend who will always welcome and love you

  1. Hi. Your writing TA Sohyeon here. I love chocolate too :)
I like the way you describe why you like chocolate. You talk about the different kinds of chocolate you know, and that is very interesting as well.
Good work, and I look forward to seeing other types of essays come up on your blog!

  2. Good to see you used repetition! But what about some alliteration with CH. I think most people love chocolate, and if they don't like it they must be REALLY strange. Korean chocolate has really improved over the last ten years, but I have to say that Canadian chocolate bars are THE BEST. Even better than American ones.

Nice ode! I want chocolate now.
